TRAIL UPDATES

From Tyax Air 20 July 2011

Taylor Basin

- From trailhead to Cabin will be clear of snow and avalanche debris as of July 22.
- Taylor Cabin to Camel Pass is 50% snow covered.
- Taylor Cabin to Eldorado Pass (towards Windy Pass) is 30% snow covered with a few patches of snow over the pass on the descent into Eldorado.

Eldorado Basin

- From Windy Pass into the northern portion of Eldorado Basin has a few small patches of snow.
- From the Eldorado Cabin northwards towards Windy Pass is mainly clear of snow.
-From the Edorado Cabin up to Lick Pass and Pearson Pass 70% snow covered.

Warner Lake Area

-From Warner lake down the Gun Creek Trail is clear of snow and deadfall.
- From Warner Lake up to Warner Pass has a few snow patches, with the pass itself 70% covered.

Deer Pass Trail

-South side is clear of snow.
- North side is clear of snow from Tyaughton Creek to Treeline, above treeline 40% snow covered

Tyaughton Creek Trail

- Trail is clear from Lorna and Elbow Passes full length down to Relay Creek.

Lorna Pass

- Clear of snow on east side, West side has one patch of snow near the top of the pass (same as last year) which will remain there most of the summer.

Elbow Pass

- Eastern slope is clear of snow, top of pass and west slope 30% snow.

Graveyard / Relay

-Clear of snow

Lorna Lake / Big Creek

- Clear of snow

Spruce Lake Area / Gun Creek

- clear of snow

Windy Pass

- One patch of snow in the usual place.

Pearson Basin / Lick / High Trail:

-A few small patches of snow remaining, Lick Creek Trail looks clear
